It will be another week before official numbers are released for April, but from what I am seeing so far a lot of the pending contracts did not close by the end of April. The median price I believe will end up around $246,000 which is off by $3,000 compared to April '06 for the first year over year decrease as long as I can remember. I don't know what the number of sales closed will be, but it should end up far short of the 2,500 it was looking like. It has not helped that the state legislature is at a stalemate on property tax reform. Hopefully, they will get something meaningful accomplished at their special session next month.
