One area hit pretty hard by the speculators was Avalon Park in East Orange county. It is a new and growing community, and speculators bought up all the homes the builders could get out of the ground. Now all those homes are up for sale, many are short sales, and some have been taken back by the banks. I have a townhome for sale in Timber Pointe which is one of the subdivisions in the community, and have had tremendous response to it so far. I also just listed a single family home in Live Oak Village that had been on the market before. I have already had a couple of inquiries about this great four bedroom three and a half bath David Weekley home. The home is over 3,000 and is priced at only $399,900.

Another area of town that appears to be picking up is downtown. I just listed a bungalow in Thornton Park for $289,900, and everyone is showing this one. This great home is just a short stroll to Thornton Park shopping and dining and downtown's Lake Eola.
