Orlando Real Estate

More and more I run into people that live here in Orlando just because they choose to. They did not come here for work or come here because of family. Many of these people work from home telecommuting to wherever their talents are needed. Many of them travel for work, and only need to have access to an excellent airport. If you are part of the virtual workforce or travel as a major part of your job, consider moving to Orlando. Here are a few reasons my customers have given me why they are here.

The travelers love our airport. Orlando Internation Airport is one of the nicer, more efficient airports you will travel to or from, and one of the busiest. If you need to get around the state of Florida, Orlando is pretty central and grants easy access to either coast. The turnpike can put you in the state capital or Miami in 4 to 5 hours. Telecommuters love our high speed internet access. Orlando is consistently ranked as one of the most wired cities in America. Wi-fi is everywhere not that you need it with all the unlimited mobile plans out there now. If don't travel or telecommute, Orlando is working hard to diversify its economy. Healthcare and bio-medical research is a big part of that effort. A whole new medical city is growing in the Southeast region of town. Commuter rail is in the works as well as high speed rail that will connect Orlando to Tampa in a few years.

Right now, Orlando is also one of the most affordable places you would want to live. The median home price is down around $110,000, and with interest rates still in the low fives the median wage earner can practically afford two houses. Be close to the coasts, have all types of entertainment options in a young and wired city. You can enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather even more knowing that you still have no state income tax. If you can live anywhere, why not live in Orlando.
